Hallie
Abney Frizzell, 94, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at
Ohio County Hospital.
Mrs.
Frizzell was born on July 17, 1912, in Ohio County to the late N.V. and Effie
Beasley Abney.
She
was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Beaver Dam and was a nurse’s
aide at Ohio County Hospital.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Frizzell, who died February 3, 1978.
She
is survived by three sons, Roger Frizzell and his wife Sherry, Harold Frizzell,
and James “Tony” Frizzell and his wife Gloria, all of Beaver Dam; three daughters,
Wanda Lee Frizzell of New Albany, Indiana, Shirrel Kay Coker and her husband
Bill of Athena, Tennessee, and Pamela Ruth Reeves and husband John of Oliver
Branch, Mississippi; grandchildren, Todd Frizzell, Adam Frizzell, Denny Frizzell,
Keith Frizzell, Brent Frizzell, Renea Frizzell, Kevin Frizzell, Craig Frizzell,
John Coker, Jennifer Parsons, JoAnna Chism,
Jeffrey
Towe and Jeremy Towe; two brothers, Leon Abney of Beaver Dam and Charles Abney
of Wooster, Ohio; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held on Saturday, January 6,2007, at 1 p.m. at William L.
Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Jesse Tichenor and Rev. Glenn Armstrong
officiating.
Burial
will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007, and from 9 a.m. until
the time of services on Saturday.

Maxine Austin, 66, of Fordsville, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2006,
at Ohio County Hospital.
She
was born in Hancock County, was a housewife and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors
include her husband, Jerry Austin of Fordsville; four sons, Steven Austin
and Darin Basham, both of Fordsville, Michael Basham of Zion, Illinois, and
Randall C. Basham, Jr., of Owensboro; two daughters, Vickie Goff of Belton
and Rita Slack of Owensboro; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, January 1, 2007, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville.
Burial
was in Fordsville Cemetery.

Rogers Lewellen, 89, of Fordsville, died Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Owensboro
Medical Health System.
She
was born in Ohio County and was a housewife.
She
was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee “Boke” Lewellen, on September
20, 2003.
Survivors
include three sisters, Doris Kirk and Marva Dean Willoughby, both of Fordsville
and Gusta Park of Portage, Indiana; and a brother, Jewell Rogers of Griffith,
Indiana.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, January 1, 2007, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
in Magan.
Burial
was in Fordsville Cemetery.

Michael
Joseph Bates, 58, of Kingswood, Kentucky, died Friday, December 29, 2006,
at his residence.
He
was born in Breckinridge County on June 8, 1948, to the late Willard and Mildred
Claycomb Bates.
He
retired from Texas Gas Transmissions, was an Army veteran and attended Kingswood
Wesleyan Church.
He
is survived by his wife, Nannette Hardin Bates of Kingswood; four daughters,
Annette Compton of Garfield, Kentucky, Evette Goff of Hartford, and Rachel
Flood and Jodi Hutchison of Hardinsburg; a step-son, Kenny Carman of Irvington;
a brother, Roger Bates of Irvington; two sisters, Sheila Hardesty of Irvington
and Barbara Brown of McDaniels, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral
services were held on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
Burial
was in Kingswood Cemetery with military honors.

“Connie” Rae Oldham, 84, passed on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December
27, 2006, at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford.
She
was born on December 2, 1922, in North Freedom, Wisconsin, to the late Harvey
and Anna Seils. She
was
raised in the town of Baraboo, Wisconsin.
She
was a housewife and had worked at W.C. Wallace’s in Hartford.
She
was a member of Hartford Baptist Church and was active in the past on several
committees.
She
was a fun-loving, caring individual and loved her family.
She
was a wonderful, loving mother at all times.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milburn Oldham three years ago,
and a sister, Shirley Ann Fleming, formerly of Pasadena, California.
Connie
was the mother of a son, Charles “Butch” Harvey Oldham and his wife, Annemarie
of New Berlin, Wisconsin; her daughter, Roxanne Rae Allen and husband Russell
J. Allen of Hartford.
She
had two granddaughters, Diane Sonja Rohde and husband Corey of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, and Christina Rae Saling and husband Jon of Echols; three great-grandchildren,
Tristan, Karissa and Emily Rohde of Milwaukee, and another great-grandson
to be born February 5, 2007, Charles Heath Saling.
She
had a loving roommate at Professional Care, Maurine Gray.
Connie
loved all of her caregivers at Professional Care and nicknamed all of them.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Duke-Bevil Brothers
Funeral Home in Hartford.
Burial
was in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
The

Randy
Emerson Witt, 54, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006,
at his residence in Beaver Dam.
He
was born on June 25, 1952, to the late Delbert Witt and Nell Herrin Witt.
He
was employed by King Drugs and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
He
also served in the Navy.
Survivors
include his wife, Anna (Beville) Witt; a daughter, Angela Michelle Dotson
of Bowling Green; a son, Randy Witt of Lexington; two sisters, Gwyn Travillian-Key
and Sherry Frizzell, both of Beaver Dam; and two brothers, Ernie Witt of Beaver
Dam and Gary Witt of Hartford.
Funeral
services were held on Friday, December 29, 2006, at William L. Danks Funeral
Home in Beaver Dam.
Burial
was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

McDaniel Clark, 84, of Rosine, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Beaver
Dam Nursing and Rehab Center in Beaver Dam.
She
was born on November 25, 1922, in Decatur, Tennessee, to the late Arthur McDaniel
and Marie Craig McDaniel.
She
was a former cook at Sheffield’s Restaurant in Beaver Dam and Miller’s Cafe
in Louisville.
She
was a member of Rosine Baptist Church and a former member of Rosine Eastern
Star.
She
was preceded in death by a son, Danny Dale Clark on November 3, 2005.
She
is survived by her husband, Charlie Webb Clark of Rosine; sons, Harold David
Basham and his wife Elaine and Frank Clark and his wife Carolyn, all of Rosine,
Stephen Clark and Jerry Clark, both of Horse Branch, Eugene Clark and his
wife Virginia and Wayne Clark and his wife Tammy, all of Hartford; a daughter,
Belinda Renfrow and her husband Tony of Hartford; two brothers, Paul McDaniel
of Beaver Dam and Edward McDaniel of Olaton; three sisters, Katherine Hohimer
of Rosine, Mandy Pilkington of Louisville, and Betty Culbertson of Bardstown;
15 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

services were held on Friday, December 29, 2006, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral
Home in Hartford with Rev. Troy Richards officiating.
Burial
was in Clark Family Cemetery in Rosine.

Billy
Frederick Moseley, 76, of Utica, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Owensboro
Medical Health System.
He
was born on June 10, 1930, in the Buford community of Ohio County, to the
late Archie Moseley and Ceona Westerfield.
He
was a retired farmer
and
retired from Carpenter’s Local 549 after 55 years.
He
was a member of Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church.
He
was born and raised in the Buford community where he was unofficially known
as “Mayor.”
He
enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
He
was a fan of UK basketball and the Atlanta Braves.
He
is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Bonnie Whittaker Moseley of Utica;
three sons, Terry Moseley and his wife Linda and Barry Moseley and his wife
Jeana, all of Hartford and Mike Moseley and his wife Merry of Nashville, Tennessee;
two daughters, Theresa Beck of Hartford and Lesia McBride and her husband
Billy, also of Hartford; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at Barnett’s Creek Baptist
Church with Rev. Raymond Ward and Rev. Gary Hines officiating.
Burial
was
in Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
