Frank
Chinn, 69, of Echols, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at Muhlenberg
Community Hospital in Greenville.
He
was born in Ohio County, the son of the late Frewin and Lena Mae Haven
Chinn.
He
served in the U.S. Marines, had been a foreman for Amax Coal Company,
and was retired from Nashville Express where he drove a truck for several
years.
Mr.
Chinn served as constable in Ohio County, had worked as a deputy sheriff
under several sheriffs and also had worked for the Beaver Dam and Hartford
Police Departments.
He
was a past president of the Ohio County Rescue Squad, a former Boy Scout
leader, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Teamsters Union Local
#215.
Besides
his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Higgs Chinn
in April 2006; a son, Earl Frank Chinn; and two brothers, Frewin Chinn,
Jr., and Bronson Chinn.
He
is survived by two daughters, Glenda “Jeanie” Daugherty of Beaver Dam
and Patricia “Patty” Arndell of Nelson Creek; six grandchildren, James
Edward Daugherty, Shannon Dionne James, Johnathon Alan LaCour, Stacey
Michelle Cope, John Thomas Arndell and Tristan Arndell; 16 great-grandchildren;
four brothers, James A. Chinn of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Ellis Ray
Chinn of Cromwell, Thomas Wayne Chinn of Beaver Dam and Paul M. Chinn
of Hartford; five sisters, Katherine Garner of Beaver Dam, Lillian Mae
Songers of Huntingburg,
Indiana,
Laura Ann Birge of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Linda Lou Taylor and Debra
Jane Ball of Beaver Dam.
Funeral
services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Bevil
Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Burial
will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time
of services on Thursday.

Kathryn Dennison
Lois
Kathryn Dennison, 77, of Owensboro, ended her struggle and went on to
be with her Lord Sunday, February 4, 2007, surrounded by her family.
Born
in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Walter and Lyda
Brown Tudor, she was a member of the Relevant Faith Church.
A
committed mother, she had worked as a caregiver, loved cooking and wrote
countless poems.
Holidays
and the time she could spend with her family were special to her.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dennison; a daughter, Lyda
Lee Dennison; her brothers, Laurie Tudor, Pete Tudor and Shirley Ray;
and her sister, Emogene Ransom.
Survivors
include her children, Michael Dennison and his wife Shannan, Sharon
Wilson and Charles, Dana Krampe and her husband Bernard, Kim Shouse
and her husband Tim, Chris Dennison and his wife Kaye, and Eraina Estes
and Andrew, all of Owensboro, Beverly Burden and her husband Shelby
of Beaver Dam, and Jolene Gholson and her husband Charlie of Utica;
15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her special friend,
Richard Duncan.
Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. at
Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro with Rev. Oda Shouse officiating.
Burial
was in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

“Dinky” Henderson Knapp, 60, of Owensboro, died Monday, February 12,
2007, at her home.
She
was born in Owensboro on September 10, 1946 and was a member of Apollo
Heights Baptist Church.
She
was preceded in death by her father, J.T. Henderson on November 2, 1995,
and by a brother, William Owen Henderson in 1961.
She
is survived by her husband of 24 years, David L. Knapp; her mother,
Addie Bea Henderson of Owensboro; five sons, Jeffrey M. Pearl of Owensboro,
Charles Gamble of Missouri, David John Knapp of Kansas City, and Justin
M. Knapp and Joseph A. Knapp, both of Owensboro; six daughters, Andrea
Denise Wedding of Owensboro, Sara Doolin of Tampa, Florida, Valerie
Ferguson of Missouri, and Chaunta Himes, Maureen Gamble and Dorothy
Lamar, all of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Earl Henderson of Owensboro
and Bruce Lynn Henderson of Jacksonville, Florida; 18 grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren.

services are 2 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Apollo Heights Baptist
Church, 2322 Tamarack Road in Owensboro.
Burial
will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Bon Harbor Nursing Home.
She

Rogers and

She
was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd G “Barr” Devine on July
21, 2001; and by her only brother, Wesley Rogers, who died as a result
of an injury in the South Pacific on July 19, 1945, during WW II.
She
is survived by her son Bill Shuck; her daughter, Jackie Stevens; her
sister, Wilma Poole; four grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and a
great-great-grandchild.

“Doc” Dockery, 71, of Hartford, died Saturday, February 10, 2007, at
Beaver Dam Health and Rehab Center.
He
was born on October 7, 1935 in Ohio County to the late Adrien Dockery
and Flora Voyles Dockery.
He
retired from Young’s Sawmill after thirty years in which he was a supervisor
and was of the Baptist faith.
He
was a lineman for the U.S. Army for two years, then entered the National
Guard.
He
was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Dockery on December 29, 1991.
He
is survived by daughter, Carolyn Pickerell of Hartford; step-daughter,
Becky Stewart of Hartford; brothers, Dairl Dockery of Hartford and Jerry
Dockery of Cromwell; sister, Mary Calloway of Hartford; one grandson;
and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral
services were held on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at Miller-Schapmire
Funeral Home in Hartford.
Burial

(Erwin) Hagemeyer, 92, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, February
10, 2007, at her residence.
She
was born in Pike County, Indiana, on November 20, 1914, to the late
Curtis Erwin and Bernice (Bodkins) Erwin.
Mrs.
Hagemeyer was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Indiana.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Dutch” Hagemeyer on
May 3, 1993; a sister, Arlene Erwin Rich; and two brothers, Grester
Erwin and Glen Erwin.
Survivors
include two daughters, Sue Ledford and Dianne Keith and husband G.V.,
all of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Christy Keith Wood and husband
Craig of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Geoff Keith and wife Ida of Beaver
Dam, and Greg Ledford of Tucson, Arizona; two great-grandchildren; and
several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She
was a retired from Ohio County Hospital where she was a practical nurse

and a brother Norval Fielden.
She
is survived by a son, Rickie Ashby of Rockfield.

Dalton
“Ross” Coots of Cromwell went home to be with his Lord and Savior on
February 7, 2007, quietly in his sleep after a lengthy struggle with
cancer, while a patient at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital
in Bowling Green.
He
was 82 years of age and until his illness remained very active.
“Ross”
as most of his friends and relatives knew him was born on April 18,
1924, to the late Loueva Hunt Coots and late Clyde Coots in Green River
bottoms in Butler County, just across the river from Ohio County where
he remained a lifelong resident.
He
was a truck driver and sawmill operator until his retirement.
He
was a member of Cromwell United Methodist Church and also attended Sunday
evening and Wednesday night services at the Green River Baptist Church.
He
was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Hazel Rogers Coots, and
four brothers, Oval and Belvin Coots of Cromwell, Herbert Coots of Wooster,
Ohio, and Revel Coots.
He
is survived by two daughters, Linda Poole and husband Junior of Strong,
Arkansas, and Elaine Costello and husband Charles of Woodbury, Kentucky;
two granddaughters, Romona Sawyer and husband Kenny of Crossett, Arkansas,
and Rebecca Pittman and husband Lance of Strong, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter,
Katelynn Sawyer of Crossett, Arkansas; two great-grandsons, Brady Pratt
of Strong, Arkansas, and Jesse Pittman of Calion, Arkansas; two sisters,
Mary Alvey and husband Jud of Cromwell and Marzola Sizemore of Wooster,
Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating.

Inez
Louise Lanham, 92, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at
Owensboro Medical Health System.
Mrs.
Lanham was born in Evansville to the late Charles Volk and Mary Delora
(Hayden) Alvey.
The
loving wife and mother was co-founder and past secretary-treasurer of
Lanham Electric, Inc.
She
was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and was a longtime
member of the altar society there.
She
was
a
charter member of the Owensboro Area Quilter’s Guild.
She
was also a 92-year-old “cheerleader” for U.K. and enjoyed music and
bird watching at Rough River.
Mrs.
Lanham was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Anthony
Lanham on March 6, 2003, her daughter-in-law, Gae Lanham on September
6, 2005, and several of her siblings.
Survivors
include daughters, Deanna and Chester Kaminski and
Marian
J. Lanham of Owensboro, and Tonya and Scott Lewis of Colorado Springs,
Colorado; her sons, David Scott and Emmalena Lanham of Beaver Dam, Michael
W. Lanham of Tucson, Arizona, and Randal A. Lanham of Rough River; grandchildren,
Dennis, Joseph, Steven and Christopher Kaminski, Michael, Keith and
Aaron Lanham, Stephanie Reeves, Kyle, John, Patrick and Teresa Lewis,
Eva Kate Wilson and J.D. Tichenor; two sisters, Myrle Merimee and Mary
Medley, both of Owensboro; her great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Church.
He
was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II and a graduate of Cromwell High School.

Darrell Wilson; and a sister, Lena Wilson Pirtle.
He
is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carrie Haynes Wilson of Cromwell;
two sons, Ray Wilson and wife Claudette of Romeo, Michigan, and Robert
(Bob) Wilson of East Point, Michigan; a daughter, Ruth E. Chapman and
husband Jeffery of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; sister, Virginia Wilson Burgess
of Cromwell; three grandchildren, Cheryl Hicks and husband John of Romeo,
Michigan, Tom Wilson and wife Nichole of Roseville, Michigan, and Natalie
Race of Berkley, Michigan; five great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins,

“Sandy” Pearl, 70, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February

was a native of Horse Branch, an Army veteran and a computer programmer
and systems analyst for Porter Paint Company, which is currently PPG
Industries.
He
was also a teacher at Wilson Elementary School in Jeffersonville, Indiana,
and at Seneca High School in Louisville.
He
is survived by his wife, the former Gayle Stammel; a son, Andrew Sebastian
Pearl; daughters, Amanda Kathryn Pearl and Sabrina Ann Gobbel; brother,
Lawrence Pearl; sister, Jerry Poteete; and three grandchildren.

Church in New Albany, Indiana.
