Ida
Lorene Borah Robertson, 89, of Hartford, passed away Monday, April 9,
2007, at Ohio County Hospital.
She
was born November 4, 1917 in McHenry, to the late Alfred Borah and Annie
Stewart Borah.
She
was retired from General Electric Tube Plant (transistor department)
in Owensboro.
She
was a member of Hartford Baptist Church, Fort Hartford Women’s Club
and McHenry Alumni.
She
was a Kentucky Colonel, a Sunday School Secretary for many years and
a member of the Class of Ruth.
She
enjoyed NASCAR racing and Kentucky Wildcats basketball and dearly loved
her cat “Tabby.”
She
was preceded in death by her husband, D. G. Robertson in 1953 and a
brother, James Borah.
Survivors
include a brother, Harold “Bob” Borah of Louisville; a sister Mary Borah
Ward and husband, Conrad, of Hartford; a sister-in-law, Mable Borah
of Louisville; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral
services are at 11 a.m., Friday, April 13 at Miller-Schapmire Funeral
Home in Hartford with Brother Ed Mitchell and Brother Wesley O. Hanson
officiating.
Visitation
is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday.
Burial
will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.

Lorene
Hill Barnett, 83, of Hartford, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in
Evansville, Indiana on April 9, 2007.
She
was born April 23, 1923 in Pine Knot to the late Ike Hill and Nellie
Stevens Hill.
She
was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Barnett in 1972, and
two sons, Bobby and Larry Barnett.
She
was a member of Presbyterian Church of Leatherwood, Kentucky.
Survivors
include her son, Herbert Ray Barnett of Uniontown, Kentucky; her daughter,
Carol Gray of Welch, West Virginia; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
a brother, Ed Hill of Hartford; and a sister, Faye Dorgan, also of Hartford.
Funeral
services will be at 11 a.m. CDT Thursday, April 12, at Miller-Schapmire
Funeral Home in Hartford.
Visitation
is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the
funeral home.
Graveside
services will be at 11 a.m. EDT Friday, April 13, at the Pine Knott
Cemetery in McCreary County with burial in the Pine Knott Cemetery.

Sue
Napier, 62, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007, at
her residence.
She
was born on September 18, 1944 in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late John
and Patsy (Blevens) Napier.
She
was married to Brown Lee Napier for 45 years and he preceded her in
death in 1991.
She
was a homemaker.
She
is survived by sons, Larry Napier, Billy Napier and Johnny Napier, all
of Sidney, Ohio, Bobby Napier of Oakdale, Illinois and Peter Napier
of Canton, Ohio; daughters, Jenny Moore of St. Paul, Minnesota and Betty
Myers of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Johnny and Eddie Napier; sisters,
Judy
Napier,
Barbara Napier, Loretta Middleton and Nana Jean, all of Harlan, Kentucky;
a granddaughter; 21 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 1 p.m. at William
L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.
Visitation
is from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the time of the service
on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial
will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.

Faught, Jr.
Ray
Faught, Jr., 82 , of Centertown, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007,
at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro.
He
has gone home to be with Jesus and his oldest son, Terry Joe Faught.
He
was born on January 27, 1925, in Muhlenberg County to the late Ray and
Carrie Faught.
He
was retired from Green River Steel, was a farmer and a veteran of World
War II serving in the 104th
Infantry and he was a member of Centertown Masonic Lodge #714 F and
AM.
He
was preceded in death by his beloved son, Terry Joe Faught, on June
23, 2004; his father, Ray Faught, on May 4, 1964; his mother, Carrie
Faught, on March 9, 1963; and his sister Venetta in 1917.
Survivors
include his loving wife of 61 wonderful years, Mildred Young Faught;
a son, Jerry Bruce Faught, of Centertown; three daughters-in-law, Rhonda
Taylor Faught, Alma Faught and Martha Tomblinson; six grandchildren,
Angie Faught Cecil of Owensboro, Mark Faught of Whitesville, Lenny Faught
of Centertown, Lois Ceron and her husband, Jamie, of Owensboro, Alexandra
Evans and her husband, Andrew, of Owensboro and Laura Faught of Owensboro;
six great-grandchildren, Shea, Katie and Jackson Cecil, Jessie and Marie
Ceron and Abby Jo Evans; one sister-in-law, Marcy Fulkerson and husband,
Ernest; one brother-in-law, Charles Tagge of Hampton, Virginia; and
several nieces and nephews and close friends.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday at Smallhous Baptist Church with burial in
Smallhous Cemetery. Military honors were conducted at the gravesite
by the Ohio County Honor Guard.

services were held Monday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Centertown.

was born on December 18, 1924, in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Willie
Vaughn and Nannie Bell Brown Vaughn.
She
was retired from Garrett Furniture Co. in Owensboro as a sales clerk
and was a member of Masonville United Methodist Church.
Survivors
include two sons, Barney Edward Gray, Jr. of Island, Kentucky and Jerry
Lee Gray and wife, Deb, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two daughters,

Columbus Rhodes, 83, of Bowling Green, passed away April 7, 2007.
He
was born in Deanefield, Kentucky on September 25, 1923, to Matthew William
(Sam) and Edna Collier Rhodes.
He
was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his daughter,
Mary Juanita Griffith Rhoades; his brothers, Kerney Rhoades, Graham
Rhoades and Ollie Spurrier; and his sister, Jessie Lee Hagan.
He
served four years during WWII and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church
in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
He
is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruby Lockhart Rhodes; his daughter,
Anne Stewart; three granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; a nephew; and a niece.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday at Deanefield Baptist Church, with burial
in Memorial Garden Cemetery in Owensboro.

Bell Rowe Payton, 92, of Radcliff, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at
North Hardin Health and Rehab.
She
was a native of Ohio County and was a member of Elizabethtown Church
of Christ.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Payton; her parents, Urey
and Amanda Wade Rowe; and a great-grandchild, Richard Mitchell.
Survivors
include two sons, Lindel Earl Payton of Nashville and Walter Dale Payton
of Elizabethtown; six daughters, Thelma P. Jordan of Pensacola, Florida,
Olga Belle Hawks of Eastview and Janice P. Hardin and Linda Myrl Watts,

of Cantonment, Florida; three sisters, Doris L. Martin of Radcliff,

City, Michigan; three brothers, Roy F. Rowe of Hatfield, Arkansas, James
L. Rowe of Louisville and Otha Wade Rowe of Beaver Dam; 18 grandchildren;
17 great-children; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Margaret
Lucille “Vern” Simpson Chinn, 73, of Beaver Dam went to be with the
Lord Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Ohio
County
Hospital.
She
was born in Ohio County, December 24, 1933 to the late Eura and Gona
Mae Pierson Simpson.
She
was a member of the Olaton Baptist Church and had a history of community
service, was Ohio County Homemakers President, a 4-H leader, a Farm
Bureau leader, a FHA Chapter Mother, McHenry Alumni President, Church
Treasurer and Sunday School School teacher.
She
was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation.
A
loving mother and wife, she enjoyed her family, reading cookbooks and
college basketball.
She
was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Tony Reed Chinn in
1998; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Willard and Hazel Chinn;
a brother, Norman “Bud” Simpson; a sister-in-law, Sharon Simpson; a
brother-in-law, Garnett Brown; three half-brothers, Presley Simpson,
Willard Simpson and John “EJ” Simpson.
Survivors
include her children, Danny (Janet) Chinn of Amboy, Illinois, John (Karen)
Chinn of Beaver Dam, and Rose Ann Lindsey and her companion, Wayne Neal,
of Beaver Dam; four brothers, Jerry (Marketa) Simpson of Beaver Dam,
Jimmy (Ann) Simpson of Owensboro, Eddy (Patricia) Simpson of Hartford
and Billy (Wiladean) Simpson of Centertown; two sisters, Peggy Brown

Loria Moore of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Danny (Pam) Chinn, Kerri

was in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti at the time of her death.

Mae (Smith) Pennington, both of whom preceded her in death.
Two
brothers, Larry and Bill Pennington, also preceded her in death.
She
was a homemaker, a substitute teacher at Tabernacle Christian School
and a missionary in St. Louis-de-Nord, Haiti for the past 23 years at
the Ebenezer Evangelical Haiti Mission and worked for Americrawl, Inc.
She
is survived by her husband, Larry Dane Ralph; her children, Larry D.
and Stephanie Ralph, Jr., Daniel Ralph and Aaron and Rebecca
Ewert
and grandson, Carter B. Ewert, all of Martinsville; her brothers and
sisters-in-law, Paul and Bess Ralph of Beaver Dam, Harold and Kathy
Roberts of Hartford, Teresa Faught of Martinsville and Mark and Judy
Ralph of Greenwood, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and the parents
that she adopted, Clayton O. and Mary Lou (Williams) Ralph of Greenwood,

was owner/operator of Danny Casey Recycling and was of the Baptist faith.
