Emogene Edge Rearden

Emogene Edge Rearden, 73, of Greenville, formerly of Adaburg, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System.  She was born in Ohio County.  She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Valley United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence William Rearden on March 11, 2001.
Survivors include one son, Larry Rearden and wife, Robin, of San Pierre, Indiana; three daughters, Brenda Craig and husband, Brad, of North Judson, Indiana, Sandy Tong and husband, Anthony, of Hartford and Karen Ekstam and husband, Greg, of Greenville; four brothers, James Edge and Homer Edge, both of Reynolds Station, Denzil Edge of Louisville and Irvin Edge of Central City; two sisters, Mary Smith of Fordsville and Margaret Jarboe of Whitesville; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville, with burial in Patterson Cemetery in Hartford.  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Jerry Lawrence McIntire
Jerry Lawrence McIntire, 55, of Rockport, passed away Friday, April 13, 2007, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Dam. He was born May 4, 1951 to the late Chester Lee and Mary Ezell McIntire in Ohio County, Kentucky.  He was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Beaver Dam.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Phelps and Hazel Benson.
Survivors include one sister, Athelene Farris of Rockport; seven brothers, Willard “BoBo” McIntire and Connard McIntire, both of Owensboro, Danny McIntire of Ridgeville, South Carolina, Bobby McIntire of Reed, Kentucky, Rev. Kenneth McIntire of Beaver Dam, and Charles McIntire and Eugene McIntire, both of Centertown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Betty Shaver and Sister Tammy Hawkins officiating.  Burial was in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.

Stella Irene  Lindsey Embry
Stella Irene Lindsey Embry, 87, of Owensboro, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at her home.  She was born in Love, Kentucky and was a retired self-employed store owner.  She was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Embry; a son, Charles Roy Embry; and two grandchildren, Charles Roy Embry, Jr. and Carl Richard Embry.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Dianne Bruner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Donnie Embry of Hickory, North Carolina and Steven Embry of Fordsville; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with Brother Allen Shouse officiating.  Burial was in Fordsville Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to Supreme Council Benevolent Fund, Memo:  Schizophrenia Research.


Jo Ann Faught Leach
Jo Ann Faught Leach, 70, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007, at her home.  She was born July 10, 1936 in Centertown, Kentucky to the late Forrest “Boots” Faught and Recia Mae Sandefur.  She was retired as a housekeeper for Ohio County Hospital and from Montpelier Glove Company where she worked for 45 years.  She was a member of Hartford Christian Church.
She was Ohio County Hospital Employee of the Year 2005, co-owner of Leach’s Bait Shop for 22 years and a 1954 graduate of Hartford High School
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles “Totty” Leach in 1997 and a daughter, Pamela Jo “Pam” Leach in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Swift; one grandson, Jason Todd McPherson of Bowling Green; one granddaughter, Pamela Jodi Desirea of Hartford; two sisters, Betty Bartlett and husband, Otis, of Beaver Dam and Janice Swift and husband, Wyman, of Dittmer, Missouri; five sisters-in-law, Doris Newcom of Hartford, Martha Foreman and Betty Clubb, both of Owensboro, Barbara Atkins of El Cajon, California, and Wanda “Bootsy” Stevenson of Napa, California; eight nephews; ten nieces; dearest friends, Christine Mercer, Jackie Fielden, Mary Ballard and Anelda Puckett; and all her co-workers.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Brother Randall McPherson officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.

Mildred Irene Swift
Mildren Irene Swift, 75, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro.  She was born December 5, 1931 to the late Charles and Irene Melon in Jefferson County, Kentucky.  She was a homemaker. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oval H. Swift, who passed away November 27, 1999.
