Lillian Martin Lewis
Lillian Martin Lewis, 89, of Owensboro, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away June 12, 2007, in Owensboro.
She was born March 28, 1918, in Beaver Dam to the late Ernest and Mary Alice Turnbull Martin.  She was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church and a homemaker.  She had lived in Florida with her husband Max for 48 years before returning to Kentucky in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell Jay Lewis, who passed away April 16, 1995; two brothers, Ray Martin and William F. Martin; and two sisters, Ruby Duke and Lucille Hutchinson.
Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Kirk and husband Sherwood of Fordsville; a brother, J. T. Martin of Beaver Dam; a grandson, Kevin Kirk and wife Ziza of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Kimberly Kirk of Owensboro; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2007, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Donnie Thomas officiating.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.  Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Charles H. Smith
Charles H. Smith, 73, of Cromwell, passed away Monday, June 11, 2007, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1934, in Ohio County to the late Harb and Mary Josephen Johnson Smith.  He was a custodian for the Ohio County School System and a member of Cromwell United Methodist Church in Cromwell.
He is survived by his wife, DeLois Drake Smith of Cromwell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Hubert O. Tichenor
Hubert Tichenor, 85, of Hartford, died Friday, June 8 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.  
He was born August 9, 1921, to the late Chester and Geneva Ross Tichenor.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II, the owner of Tichenor Farm Machinery in Hartford and a member of Hartford Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ione Ralph Tichenor, on March 17, 1975, and by brothers, Jack Tichenor, John Tichenor and Martin Tichenor.
Survivors include sons, Jim Tichenor of Hazard, Kentucky, and Jeff Tichenor and his wife, Rose of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters, Judy Bevil and husband, Jerry of Hartford, Jan Hill and her husband, Greg of Beaver Dam, and Joanie Evans and her husband, Don of Alvaton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rolly Tichenor of Hartford and Bill Tichenor of Princeton, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Bevil Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to The Mission of Love Hospital Ministry in Haiti.

Silas Shepherd
Silas Shepherd, 61, of Hartford, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System.
He was born September 2, 1945, in Leatherwood, Kentucky, to the late Sie and Judy Napier Shepherd.  He was a coal miner and a member of Taylor Mine United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Sailing Shepherd of Rockport; two sons, Joseph Silas Shepherd of Beaver Dam and Joshua Nathan Shepherd of Rockport; a daughter, Julie Diana Decker of Hartford; five brothers, Danny Lynn Shepherd of Leatherwood, Henry Shepherd of Beaver Dam, Harrison Shepherd of Yeadiss, Kentucky, Kyle Shepherd of Winchester and Lowell Jack Shepherd of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Carolyn Shepherd Smith and Lucinda Shepherd Hill, both of Hartford and Joyce Combs of Hazard; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, 2007, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial was in Echols Cemetery in Echols.

Aaron Matthew Welsh
Aaron Matthew "Matt" Welsh, 29, of Owensboro, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System due to an accident on a four wheeler.
He was born May 26, 1978, in Owensboro.  He was a 1995 graduate of Ohio County High School and employed by Welsh Construction.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Kay and David Thompson of Owensboro; his father, Robert Welsh of Owensboro; two sisters, Lexi Welsh and Lindsey Abney, both of Beaver Dam; a step-brother, J.D. Thompson of Owensboro; a step-sister, Brittney Thompson of Owensboro; and his grandparents, Shirlene Thompson, William and Marjorie Welsh and Gene and Sharon NeSmith, all of Owensboro.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 11, 2007, at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro.  Burial was in Green Brier Baptist Church Cemetery in Daviess County.
