Leslie Joe Flener
Leslie Joe Flener, 43, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at his
residence.
Mr. Flener was born on September 17, 1963, in Daviess County to the late Byron
Leslie and Lura Pearl Phelps Flener. He attended Horse Branch Church of God
and was a coal miner for Lanham Brothers Coal Company.
Survivors include his wife, Toni Helms Flener of Beaver Dam; a son, Joshua Leslie
Flener of Beaver Dam; a daughter, Megan Messamore of Beaver Dam; a step-son,
Adam Flener of Centertown; two step-daughters, Heather Flener and Holly Flener,
both of Centertown; two brothers, Harold Flener of McHenry and Byron Leslie
Flener of eastern Kentucky; eight sisters, Della Maiden of McHenry, Debbie Wilson
of Beaver Dam, Tonya Gilstrap of Hadley, Mary Frasnelli of Glasgow, Vonell Allen
of Cleveland, Tennessee, Lisa Gilbert of Utica, Eva Flener of eastern Kentucky,
and Eva Moore; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at William L. Danks
Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Louise Mastison Marlow
Louise Mastison Marlow, 86, of Fordsville, died Saturday, October 21, 2006,
at her home.
She was born in Ohio County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fordsville
Baptist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Hoover Mastison; and two sisters, Alliene Bratcher
and Martine Hope.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 23, 2006, at Geary Funeral Home
in Fordsville. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pattiville.
Sam Underwood
Sam Underwood, 73, of Hartford, formerly of the Buck Creek Community in McLean
County, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at his home
in Hartford.
Samuel Lincoln Underwood was born on December 5, 1932, in McLean County to the
late Byron and Virginia Adcock Underwood, and was married to the former Jacqueline
Ann Alexander on July 1, 1958.
Sam had retired from the Boilermaker's Local #40 of Elizabethtown and was
a member of the Buck Creek Baptist Church where he served as church deacon.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and also enjoyed fishing and his many extra
church activities.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Abby Honeycutt.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jackie; a daughter and her husband,
Yvonne and John Smith of Beaver Dam; two sons and their wives, Dwight and Pat
Underwood and Byron and Nickole Underwood, all of Hartford; a brother, Windom
Underwood of Inverness, Florida; a sister, Judi Myrick of Nashville, Tennessee;
and five grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Michelle Smith, Erica Skipworth and her
husband, Chris, Derek Underwood, and Kealey Underwood.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 23, 2006, at Muster Funeral Homes,
Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Jeff French and the Rev. Jeff Devine officiating.
Burial was in Buck Creek Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted
by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415. Boilermaker
Rites for Sam were held on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at Musters in Livermore.

Linda L. Tinsley
Linda L. Tinsley, 62, of Hartford, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006, at
Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
Mrs. Tinsley was born on June 27, 1944, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late
Austin and Vear Alsip Dockery. She attended Liberty Lighthouse Church of God
in Hartford and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James Tinsley of Hartford; three daughters, Mary
Allen and her husband Randy of Hartford, Vear Ann Tinsley of Hartford, and Karen
Baldus and her husband Peter of Plover, Wisconsin; three brothers, A.C. Dockery
and his wife Mae of West Lafayette, Ohio, Roy Dockery of Beaver Dam, and Ray
Dockery and his wife Brenda of Hartford; two sisters, Margaret Tinsley and her
husband Glendell of Hartford, and Dorothy Ford and her husband Phillip of Beaver
Dam; four granddaughters, Brandy Johnson, Charity Allen, Jasmine Allen and Jessica
Allen; two grandsons, Andrew Johnson and Marty Baize, Jr.; and two great-grandsons,
Matthew Allen and Jacob Allen. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 23, 2006, at William L. Danks
Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Ervin Doepel officiating. Burial was in
Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.

Martin L. Bechtel
Martin L. "Marty" Bechtel, 51, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday,
October 19, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro.
Mr. Bechtel was born on March 5, 1955, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late
Harold Bechtel and Bettie Ashcraft Martin. He was a member of Hartford Christian
Church and an engineering assistant.
Survivors include his son, Bryan Lee Bechtel of Centertown; two brothers, Terry
Bechtel and Chris Bechtel, both of Louisiana; two sisters, Rebecca Durham of
Beaver Dam and Cheryl Bechtel of Evansville, Indiana; and four grandchildren,
Dalton Lee Bechtel, Gabriel Lee Bechtel, Jarrin Yvonne Willoughby, and Amelia
Paulette Casey.
Graveside services were held on Monday, October 23, 2006, at Louisville Memorial
Gardens West in Louisville. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam was
in charge of arrangements.

Corine M. Hardin
Corine M. Hardin, 85, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, October 19, 2006, at Beaver
Dam Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Hardin was born on December 24, 1920, in Springfield, Tennessee, to the
late Arthur McDaniel and Marie Craig McDaniel. She was retired from General
Electric in Owensboro and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ray Hardin, who passed away January
24, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her son, Durwood Glenn Hardin, and
a sister, Mary Pilkington.
She is survived by three sons, Connie Ray Hardin of Greenfield, Tennessee, Thomas
Lee Hardin of Beaver Dam, and L.C. "Shaker" Hardin of Hartford; two
brothers, Edward McDaniel of Hartford and Paul Ray McDaniel of Beaver Dam; four
sisters, Mandy Pilkington and Betty Culver, both of Louisville, and Lorine Clark
and Katherine Hohimer, both of Rosine; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at William L. Danks
Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial was in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry.

Wesley McIntyre
Wesley McIntyre, 18, passed away October 19, 2006.
He was born on December 1, 1987, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Rhonda Kay Robertson
and Kenneth William McIntyre. He graduated from Reydon High School in 2006 and
was a member of Cheyenne First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Zelma Dean McIntyre, and his grandfather,
Anthony "BeBo" Cornell.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth McIntyre of Duncan, Oklahoma; his mother
and step-father, Rhonda and Jay Robertson of Reydon, Oklahoma; two brothers,
Jonathan McIntyre and Marshall McIntyre, both of Elk City, Oklahoma; a sister,
Jocelyn Robertson of Reydon, Oklahoma; and his grandparents, William Kenneth
and Betty McIntyre of Hartford, Kentucky, Billy and Betty Morrison, and Judy
and Melvin Walser.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 23, 2006, at the Cheyenne First
Baptist Church. Burial was in Cheyenne Cemetery. Rose Chapel Funeral Service
in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, was in charge of arrangements.
Ronald Carl Taylor
Ronald Carl "Ronnie" Taylor, 54, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly
of Rockport, Kentucky, died suddenly Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Largo Medical
Center.
He was born on December 11, 1951, to Imogene Coleman Taylor and the late Ishmel
Earl Taylor. He was a graduate of Ohio County High School.
He served in the Army for 15 years with the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg,
North Carolina, as a paratrooper where he obtained Jump Master status. After
leaving the service, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for the last
18 years. He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buchaneers and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Survivors include his wife, Patti; a son, Chris Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland;
two daughters, Tiffany Taylor of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Nicole Bowling at
home; his mother, Imogene Taylor of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Ishmel Earl (Rosemary)
Taylor of Baxter, Tennessee, and Anthony (Laura) Taylor of Owensboro; four sisters,
Iva (Jan) Embry of Englewood, Tennessee, Susan (Charles) Hines of Centertown,
and Cheryl (Jonny) Shrewsbury and Lawana (Jeff) Nauman, both of Beaver Dam;
and three grandchildren, Cori and Kelsey Taylor, and Michael Lovett.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at the Moss Feastier
Funeral Home in Largo, Florida. Inurnment and military services will be held
at the Bay Pines National Cemetery on Friday, October 27, 2006.
Ellen Stanley
Miracle
Ellen Stanley Miracle, 66, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, October 15, 2006,
at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 28, 1940, in Lexington. She was a member of the Gilead Baptist
Church and a graduate with honors from Bethal and Georgetown colleges. She taught
language arts in the Hardin County School System and later worked at Hardin
Memorial Hospital and the Education Center at Fort Knox. During this time and
after retirement, she was an excellent homemaker. She loved to fish and cook,
especially cakes at Christmas time. She was proud of and loved her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by them and by all who knew
her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Harold R. Osborne.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Jack Ance Miracle; her adoptive mother,
Ruth Ellen Stanley; two daughters, Pamela Combs of Newark, Ohio, and Brenda
Bova and John of Westerville, Ohio; three sons, Harold R. Osborne II and Bruce
Miracle and Mona, all of Elizabethtown, and Bobby Osborne of Louisville; nine
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Gilead Baptist
Church Building Fund in Glendale, the American Cancer Society, or Hospice of
Central Kentucky.
Brown Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Otis Gray Chapman
Otis Gray Chapman, 78, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Beaver
Dam Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born in Ohio County and was a member of the Woodwards Valley Baptist
Church. He was retired from Peabody Coal Company Alston Surface Mine and was
a member of UMWA Local #98.
He is survived by a son, Stephen D. Chapman of Princeton, West Virginia; two
grandchildren, Stephanie Heflin of Horse Branch and Chad Chapman of Olaton;
and three great-grandchildren, Cody Heflin and Colby and Collin Chapman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, at the Bevil
Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in the Southard Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time
of services on Thursday.
