Kathleen Marie Weakley
Kathleen Marie Weakley, 85, of Owensboro, died Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab Center in Owensboro.
She was born on August 21, 1921, in Hartford to the late Elmo Nesmith and Frances Ann Bowlds Bartlett.
She was retired from Ohio County Hospital in Hartford where she worked as an office clerk and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Owensboro.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Elaine Willis, on October 7, 1978.
She is survived by her husband, Howard L. Weakley of Owensboro; a daughter, Peggy Willis of Beaver Dam; her step-father, Reathel Bartlett of Hartford; a step-sister, Ina Mae Shepler of Beaver Dam; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Leighton Thomison officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Heart Association Kentucky Region, 240 Whittington Pkwy., Louisville, Kentucky 40222.

Imogene Bevil Johnson
Imogene Bevil Johnson, 77, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace McClure Bevil. She was the former seamstress for a Kentucky Board of Childcare at the Glendale Children's Home for ten years, co-owner of Bill Johnson Locksmith in Elizabethtown for 25 years, and a member of Roundtop Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Johnson; two daughters, Nancy Miller of Missouri and Peggy Hoskinson of Elizabethtown; a son, Bill W. Johnson of Florida; two brothers, Earl Bevil of Beaver Dam and Carson D. Bevil of Owensboro; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, in the chapel of Dixon-Atwood and Trowbridge Funeral Home. Burial was in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Roundtop Baptist Church or Gideon's International.

Walter Hacker Patterson

Walter Hacker Patterson, 79, passed away Friday, November 10, 2006, at his home in Olaton.
He was born on February 13, 1927, to the late Walter C. and Ruth Davisson Patterson in Olaton.
He was a 39-year member of Olaton Baptist Church and a 54-year member of Masonic Lodge #863. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired electrician.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Patterson; a brother, David "Blackie" Patterson; and two sisters, Juanita Ellison and Buda Schrader.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Dale House Patterson of Olaton; four sons, Kent Patterson and his wife Lisa of Olaton, Duane Patterson and his wife Nancy of Springfield, Illinois, Jason Patterson and his wife Robin Elizabeth of Hartford, and Chad Patterson and his wife Robin Michelle of Whitesville; a sister, Joyce "Button" Geary and her husband Ed of Olaton; six grandchildren, Kerri Ann Ball and husband Shane of Hartford, Zackery Patterson and Shi Coleman of Springfield, Illinois, Julia Patterson and Jake Patterson of Olaton, and Ashley Brady of Chicago, Illinois; and nine great-grandchildren, Shandi, Mica, Blaine, Logan, Levi, Briley, Austin, Sherry and Gavin.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 13, 2006, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Harpole and Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial was in Olaton Cemetery in Olaton, Kentucky.

John Lewis Rock
John Lewis Rock, 80, of Hartford, died Friday, November 10, 2006, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
He was born on July 16, 1926, in Ohio County to the late James Lewis and Margaret Eva Edwards Rock.
He was a member of Ohio County Christian Center (formerly First Assembly of God), a farmer and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell Rock and Hershel Rock.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Austin Rock of Hartford; two sons, Lendell Lewis Rock of Hartford and James Leland Rock of Decatur, Alabama; two daughters, Karen Outland of Morgantown and Marilyn Jones of Beaver Dam; a brother, Thurston Rock of Hartford; a sister, Elsie Bivens of Owensboro; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Martha Jo Gilbert
Martha Jo Gilbert, 76, of Lexington, Indiana, died Thursday, November 9, 2006, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
She was born on March 20, 1930, in Dundee to the late Roy St. Clair and Hazel (Woosley) St. Clair.
She was a retired inspector for the old I.C.I. American in Charlestown, Indiana, and former owner of the old Our Place Tavern and Grill in Charlestown. She was a member of Kimberlin Creek Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Derek Blacklock; her first husband, Eslie J. Blacklock; her second husband, Richard Polk Gilbert; and a brother, James Terrell St. Clair.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Gilbert of Otisco, Indiana, and Kathe J. Hoffman of Madison, Indiana; a son, Danny B. Blacklock of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 12, 2006, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Burial was in Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana.

Mildred Martine Woolen
Mildred Martine Woolen, 91, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at the NRC Healthcare in Beaver Dam.
She was born on June 13, 1915, in Grayson County to the late Edgar Wilbur and Janie Decker Lambert.
She was a housewife.
She is survived by three sons, Edgar, Grover and Willie Woolen, all of Olaton; a daughter, Martine Daniels of Olaton; two sisters, Marie Woolen of Hartford and Maurine Wilson of Louisville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 11, 2006, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial was in McGrady Creek Cemetery.
