Wilda Mae Woolen
Wilda Mae Woolen, 62, of Beaver Dam died Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at Beaver Dam Health Care Manor.
The Grayson County native was a homemaker and member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, James F. Woolen of Newburgh, Indiana, Clifford Cecil Woolen of Horse Branch and William Charles Woolen of Evansville; three sisters, Virble Lee Graves of South Haven, Indiana, Thelma Hedden of Evansville and Myra Jean Arseneau of Portage, Indiana; several nephews and nieces; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services were Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.

Vonnie Allen
Vonnie Allen, 87, of Horse Branch died Friday, November 30, 2001, at Professional Care Health & Rehab Center in Hartford.
The Ohio County native was a housewife and member of Sugar Grove Church of Christ at Renfrow.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Allen, on May 16, 1961; and three daughters, Rena Faye Allen, Vena Mae Allen and Judith Ann Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Allen of Horse Branch and Don Allen of Owensboro; three daughters, Elsie Daugherty of Baizetown, Iva Royal of Rosine and Barbara Oller of Caneyville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were Sunday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with burial in Renfrow Cemetery.

Johnny W. Baughn
Johnny W. Baughn, 67, of Evansville died Friday, November 30, 2001, at his home from cancer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Patsy J. Baughn; a son, Samuel C. Combs; and a daughter, Teresa M. Cosby.
Survivors include six sons, Terry Ray Baughn of Hartford, Daniel Baughn, Michael R. Combs and Gray Combs, all of Evansville, Steven Combs of Mount Vernon, Indiana, and William Combs of Seymour, Indiana; two daughters, Angila La’Dean White of Utica and Mary Ann Sherman of Evansville; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday at Alexander West Chapel in Evansville with burial in Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville.

Maybelle Cash
Maybelle Cash, 82, of Hartford died there Friday, November 30, 2001, at Professional Care Health & Rehab Center.
The Hopkins County native was a retired beautician from HI-Fashion Beauty Salon and was a member of Madisonville First Christian Church.  Her husband, Robert C. Cash, died in December 1964.
Survivors include a son, Ted Cash of Hartford; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Monday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisionville with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Wilma Burden Williams
Wilma Burden Williams, 58, of Livermore died Thursday, November 29, 2001, at her home.
The McLean County native was a homemaker and attended the Buttonsberry Baptist Church in McLean County.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Billy G. Williams; a son, Rodney Williams of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee; a daughter, Angie Dukes of Brooklyn, Iowa; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; four brothers, Jack Burden of Livermore, Richard Burden of Bastrop, Louisiana, Leslie Burden of the Philippines and Billy Burden of Owensboro; three sisters, Ruth Patterson of Earlington, Doris Evans of Calhoun and Margie Burden of Whitesville; and several nephews and nieces.
Services were Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.

Joseph Carol Butts
Joseph Carol Butts, 63, of Centertown died Thursday, November 29, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
The Union County native was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Carol Butts of Beaver Dam and Charles Wedding of Sebree; a daughter, Teresa Butts of Livermore; a stepson, Chris Crowe of Livermore; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, James Earl Butts of Aurora, Colorado and Jerry Wayne Butts of Dawson Springs; a sister, Emma Moore of Piney Flats, Tennessee; and several nephews and nieces.
Services were Sunday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Centertown with burial in Centertown Cemetery.

Harry D.
Filback Sr.
Harry D. Filback Sr., 67, of Cromwell died Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
The Ohio County native retired from Nestaway Manufacturing Co. in Beaver Dam, was a Baptist and served in the Army in Germany.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Evans Filback; two sons, Harry D. Filback Jr. of Cromwell and Lester Filback of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters, Laura Evans, Joan Johnson and Lucille Stewart, all of Cromwell.
Services were Saturday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cromwell.
 

Frances Westerfield Haven
Frances Westerfield Haven, 77, of Cromwell died Wednesday, November 28, 2001, at her home.
The Ohio County native was a housewife and member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Glendon Haven; three daughters, Sharon Williams-Kosfeld and Marsha Powell, both of Louisville, and Kathy Ford of Beaver Dam; 11 grandchildren; four brothers, Glen Westerfield of Florida, Jack Westerfield of Indiana, James Westerfield of Tennessee and David Westerfield of Georgia; and three sisters, Wilma Renfrow of Beaver Dam and Yvonne Brown and Linda Jo Westerfield, both of Evansville.
Services were Saturday at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Mattie Mae Phelps
Mattie Mae Phelps, 75, of Salem, Indiana, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Friday, November 30, 2001, at Meadow View Health Care & Rehab Center in Salem.
The Ohio County native was a homemaker and attended Longview General Baptist Church.  Her husband, Ivan Phelps, died in 1983.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Phelps of Hartford; a daughter, Karen Kiper of Corydon, Indiana; a grandson; and a brother, Sam Crowder of Hartford.
Services were Monday at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Cola D. James
Cola D. James, 83, of Centertown died Saturday, December 1, 2001, at Ohio County Hospital.
The Centertown native was a retired farmer and a member and deacon at Centertown Baptist Church.  He was treasurer and trustee for more than 30 years at the church.  He was a member of both Centertown Masonic Lodge No. 714 and Centertown Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 78 for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Modella Coombs James; a brother, Oscar Bond James of Louisville; a nephew and a niece; and six great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services were Tuesday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Centertown with burial in Centertown Cemetery.

Clara Fuchs Nance
Clara Fuchs Nance, 96, of Owensboro died Friday, November 30, 2001 in Owensboro.
The Hancock County native retired from South Central Bell following 47 years of service.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday school class, the Senior Adult Choir, the Young at Heart Adult Group, past president of Owensboro Business and Professional Women’s Club and member of Eastern Star.  Her husband, William B. Nance, died in 1961.
Survivors include her brother, William E. Fuchs of Louisville, 13 nieces and nephews, and 23 great-nieces and nephews.
Services were Sunday at First Baptist Church with burial in Rosehill Cemetery.  Glenn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bennie Vincent
Bennie Vincent, 88, of Graham died Tuesday, December 4, 2001, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital Emergency Room in Greenville.
The Muhlenberg County native retired from Duncan Coal Co. in 1956 after 27 years and from Geibel Saw Mill in 1980 after 23 years.  He was a member of Corley Chapel Baptist Church and United Mine Workers of America.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sarah Vincent; four sons, Kenneth E. Vincent and David Vincent, both of Graham, Bennie Leon Vincent of Hanson and Mark Vincent of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Elizabeth Reed of Greenville; a stepson, Billy Reed of Rockport, Kentucky; three stepdaughters, Betty Sanders of Depoy, Mary Gary of Luzerne and Brenda Reed of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; and 16 step-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville.  Burial will be in Graham Cemetery.  Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Agnes Coena Fulkerson
Agnes Coena Fulkerson, 84, of Owensboro died Monday, December 3, 2001, at Carmel Home in Owensboro.
The Daviess County native retired from General Electric Corp. after 45 years and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Hubert Bowlds and Everett Fulkerson.
Survivors include a stepson, Eddie Fulkerson of Frankfort; four stepdaughters, Ann Mattingly of St. Joseph, Betty Wiggins of Utica, Nancy Evans of Owensboro and Martha Murphy of Valpariso, Indiana; three brothers, Joseph Earl Mattingly of Owensboro, Tony Mattingly of Whitesville and Joseph Tim Mattingly of Christobla, Texas; a sister, Catherine B. Millay of Owensboro; and several nephews and nieces.
Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church in Knottsville.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation is after 2 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville.  Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
