Jason Gordon Lucas, Jr.
Jason Gordon "Luke" Lucas, Jr., 81, of Hartford, died July 22, 2007, at home.  
He was born April 21, 1926, in Greenville, Kentucky, to the late Jason Gordon Lucas, Sr. and Vernon McCauley Lucas.  He retired from TVA Paradise Plant after 27 years as Superintendent of Purchasing/Extraditing.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II and attended Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky.  He was a member of Hartford United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth Martyne Baird Lucas of Hartford; daughters, Paulette Rose of Greenville and Janice Smith of Georgetown, South Carolina; step-children, Norma Jean Schott of Danville, Kentucky, Dianne Richeson and Susie Henderson, both of Lexington and Gerald Schroader of Louisville; four grandchildren, Brent Smith, Cristy Eggenton, Terry Rose and Dennis Rose; three step-grandchildren, Michael Richeson, Stephen Richeson and Sara Henderson; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, William Bob Lucas of Goshen, Kentucky; and a sister, Doris Hughes of Henderson, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Charles Bennett and Rev. Harry Spurrier officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Greenville.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or Hartford United Methodist Church.

Virginia Davis Price
Virginia Davis "Pokey" Price, 67, of Owensboro, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at her home.
She was born August 26, 1939, in Kentucky to the late Elmer and Nona Allen (Koger) Davis.  She had been employed as a certified nurse's aide and was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Maria Cole of Owensboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Cole-Shultz and Joe Shultz of Beaver Dam and Lisa Cole-Phillips and Mike Phillips of Owensboro; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro.  Burial was in Cates Cemetery in Whitesville.

Christine Reba Tuck
Christine Reba Tuck, 81, of Morgantown, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.
She was born in Madison County, retired from Lakeview Health Care Center and a member of Old Time Holiness Church.
Her biological parents were Robert and Melissa Golden Renfrow Griffith and Rev. Hub and Bessie Embry raised her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Embry, and a daughter, Mary Sue Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, David Tuck of Morgantown; two daughters, Melissa Burguss of Beaver Dam and Shelia Gail Embry of Morgantown; three sons, Bobby Gene Emrby of Beaver Dam, Wendell Embry of Morgantown and Danny Embry of Reynolds Station; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Shultz of Monterray, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Jones Funeral Chapel in Morgantown.  Burial will be in Wade Cemetery.  Visitation was from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Doyle Ray Groves
Doyle Ray Groves, 48, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System.
He was born August 29, 1958, in Muhlenberg County, the son of Elze and Wilma Jean (Phipps) Groves.  He was a coal miner for the Peabody Coal Company and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a sister, Carole Steele of Greenville; and two brothers, Ricky Groves and Bennie Groves, both of Beaver Dam.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.

Mary Gray Peach
Mary Gray Peach, 100, formerly of Ohio County, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer, Indiana.
She was born December 15, 1906, in Ohio County to the late Allen Gray and Louella Spinks Gray.  She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. "Jack" Peach on June 21, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Henry Chester Peach and his wife Cornelia of Narrows, Kentucky; a daughter, Dorothy Lewis and her husband Ballard of Rensselaer, Indiana; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 23, 2007, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Brother Larry Embry officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.

Beverly M. Rusher
Beverly M. Rusher, 69, of Fordsville, died Friday, July 20, 2007.
She was born in Yeaman and was the owner/operator of the White Front Grocery from 1973 to 1984.  She retired from Kimball in 1997 and attended Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Rusher; premature twin sons; and a brother, Harold Tague.
Survivors include a son, Billie Rusher, Jr. of Fordsville; two daughters, Robin French of Owensboro and Paula Lucas of Fordsville; two brothers, Robert Tague, Jr. of Indiana and Tommy Tague of Virginia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July  23, 2007, at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville with burial in Newton Springs Cemetery.

Larry Dean 
Russell
Larry Dean Russell, 59, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, in Greenville, Kentucky.  
He was born November 20, 1947, to Wavy D. and Dorothy (Sumner) Russell.  He was a self-employed route salesman and a member of New Assembly Church in Hartford.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Russell.
Survivors include his daughter, Deana Gardner of Livermore; two sisters, Robbie Wallace of Owensboro and Phyllis Tarrence of Horse Branch; a brother, Glendil Russell of Hartford; and two grandchildren.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 5 p.m.  Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Rosine Cemetery near Beaver Dam.  Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Bessie M. Erwin
Bessie M. Erwin, 88, of Beaver Dam, formerly of McLean County, Owensboro and Evansville, Indiana, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford.
She was born April 2, 1919, at Schutts Chapel near Rumsey, Kentucky, to the late Len and Addie Smith.  She was a homemaker.  
She married Troy E. Erwin in 1934.  He preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by a son, Donald E. Erwin of Winter Haven, Florida; a daughter, Carolyn Sue Guye of Anza, California; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Erwin will be laid to rest at The Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana.  The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the charity of your choice.
William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.


Cora Glen 
Vincent
Cora Glen Trogden Vincent, 78, passed away on July 17, 2007.  
She was born July 7, 1929, the daughter of the late William Chesley and Ethel Glen Johnson Trogden.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Hartford United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Vincent in 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Don) Smith of Hartford and Sheila (Ricky) Reid of Henderson; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Reid of Zionsville, Indiana, Mrs. Nick (Allison) Marlin of Evansville, Darrel (Kechia) Smith of Horse Branch and Doug Smith of Hartford; and a brother, Zelbie (Carole) Trogden of Glendale, California.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Hartford.  Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
