An Amber Alert was issued yesterday for a three-year-old Tennessee boy more than a week after his father failed to return him home to his mother.

New developments in the investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and an upgraded charge lead to the issuance of a Tennessee Amber Alert Tuesday afternoon for three-year-old Noah Clare, of Gallatin, Tenn.

Jacob Clare, 32, of Beaver Dam, is wanted for especially aggravated kidnapping and custodial interference of his son as well as on charges in connection with his missing niece, Amber Clare, 16, of Beaver Dam.

As of press time Wednesday morning, the whereabouts of the three, who authorities believe are together, are still unknown.

Police originally thought they may have headed to East Tennessee or Michigan, but TBI confirmed late Tuesday afternoon that the 2005 Subaru Legacy with Tennessee tags 42MY10 that Jacob Clare is believed to have been driving had been located abandoned in San Clemente, Calif. where it had been impounded on Nov. 13. In photos released by TBI, the vehicle appeared to be loaded with food and camping equipment at the time it was located.

Earlier Tuesday afternoon, TBI reported the Subaru was sighted in western Arizona late last week and an Amber Alert was also issued in Arizona Tuesday afternoon.

Jacob Clare reportedly left Beaver Dam either late Friday night, Nov. 5 or early Saturday, Nov. 6 to return Noah Clare to his mother. They never arrived.

Beaver Dam Police said Amber Clare was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 5, and sometime later that night or early that next morning she is believed to have left with her uncle, Jacob Clare.

Noah Clare is a three-year-old white male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 3’5” tall and weighs 40 pounds. Amber Clare is a 16-year-old white female with dirty blonde hair and green eyes. She is 5’7” tall and weighs 140 pounds. She is diagnosed with Epilepsy and left home without her seizure medication. Jacob Clare is a 35-year-old white male with brown hair and blue/hazel eyes. He is 6’7” tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has tribal tattoos across his left arm and shoulder.
