BOWLING GREEN — Bettye Joyce Richardson Arnold, 86, passed away on July 23, 2021. She was born Aug. 2, 1934, to Wayne Richardson and Murl Chinn Richardson, of Cromwell. Bettye graduated from Cromwell High School in 1952, and was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, spending time with others and quilting. She was a proud member of the ‘Stitch and Bitch Club” with close family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Elmer Darrel Arnold; daughter, Ramona Elaine Arnold; grandson, Joseph Glen Baize; and granddaughter, Brandon Baize Sampson. Late sisters, Eula “Sug” Iler, Bonnie Abner and Martine “Marty” Crooks are now reunited with Bettye in their Heavenly home.
Surviving children include Glen Arnold and Perry Arnold, of Cromwell, Charlene (Mitch) Creager, of Lexington, Jackie (Larry) Wisdom and Kelly (Kristy) Arnold, of Bowling Green. Surviving grandchildren include Becky (Brandon) Moore, Katie (Aaron) Ballard, Alex Creager, Pat (Rachel) Creager, Logan Campbell, Lauren Bradbury, Ben Arnold, Mandy Latham and Jasmyn (Jason) Anderson. Bettye was additionally blessed with many great- and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Pastor John Cashion officiating. Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be Monday, July 26, from 4-7 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
