KELLER, Texas — Bonnie Paige Kirk DiGiulio, 89, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at Whitley Place Senior Living in Keller, Texas. She was born in Buford on Dec. 25, 1930, daughter of the late Alva and Martyne Ward Kirk.
Bonnie grew up in Hartford and later moved to Louisville, where she worked for Southern Bell Telephone Co. She met and married Angelo “Chips” DiGiulio in Chicago Heights, Ill., where she raised two daughters and operated her own cleaning business. In 1996 she moved to Amarillo, Texas, to be closer to her family.
She enjoyed traveling across the U.S. and abroad, visiting England, Mexico and Israel. She hosted many guests in her home as part of the Mennonite Your Way program. She was an avid gardener and devout born-again Christian, and was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Chicago and later Arden Road Baptist Church in Amarillo.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo, and is survived by her daughters, Suzan Bray-Canada, of Louisville, and Jillda Buschman, of North Richland Hills, Texas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her family is gathering for a private service on July 24.
