GALLATIN, Tenn. — Brent Lane Weedman, 69, of Gallatin, Tenn., died March 18, 2021, from complications of COVID-19. He was surrounded by his family. He and his identical twin brother, Blair, were the sons of the late Burl L. and Lucille Beck Weedman, of Hartford. He was born Oct. 25, 1951.
Brent is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jennifer Allison Weedman, and a blended family of four children, Allison Woods and Burl Lee Weedman, and stepsons, Nick Reynolds (Courtney) and T.J. Reynolds. His five grandchildren are Rion Jones, Kara Fuqua, Johnny Jacob, Brennan Woods and Norris Reynolds. Blair (Jeanie) survives, along with their three daughters, Sara Weedman, Krista Sensing (Madison) and Julia Clark (Matt). He leaves behind countless family and friends he deeply cherished.
Brent grew up in Hartford, then he and Blair went to California to pursue a photography degree. He worked as a medical photographer in the department of pathology for 28 years before he retired in 2014. True soulmates, he and Jennifer loved book collecting, traveling to book festivals, old bookstores and estate sales in search of rare books. He was an avid photographer and gardener. He was a loyal Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan — good years and bad.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 28, at Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN 37075. Visitation is from 1-2 p.m., with service to follow. Out of concern for the cruel disease that took Brent’s life, the service will be held outside in the memorial gardens. Masks are required. Everyone is encouraged to tell a good Brent story or share a poem or tribute. It’s ok to laugh and cry. Brent‘s love of books would be honored by a donation to Dolly’s Imagination Library which provides great books for children.
