HARTFORD — Charles E. Coy, 79, of Hartford, died at Ohio County Healthcare on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021. He was born May 19, 1942, in Hartford to the late William Henry Coy and Ethel Ziegler Coy. Charles Served in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents, his was preceded in death by his siblings Carl, Frank, Darrel, Dave and Johnny Coy, Nora Shultz, Nancy Calloway, and infant brother, Danny Coy.
Charlie’s leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Marilyn Wright Coy, of Hartford, and their children, Amy Rowland, of Largo, Fla., Aaron Joseph Coy, of Beaver Dam, and Adam Everett (Annie) Coy, of Cromwell; six grandchildren Justin, Tammy, Nicole, Jody, Kaeleigh and Clayton Everett; four great-grandchildren, Aerith, Raphael, Jeriah, Charlotte, and a baby girl due in April; Five siblings, Emma Roach, of Fordsville, Tommy Coy, of Hartford, Trish (Bill) Horn, of Richland, Ind., Paul (Sharon) Coy, of Hartford, and Janie (Allan) Leftwich, of Beaver Dam; three sisters-in-law, Dottie Coy, of Hartford, Mary Coy, of Sebree, and Mary Coy, of Pensacola, Fla.; and great-niece, Ray of Sunshine.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Fairview Baptist Church (Fairview Lane, Olaton, KY 42361), with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with Charlie’s family from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam has been entrusted with the cremation.
