BEAVER DAM — Kenneth Ray Large, 77, of Beaver Dam, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Williamsburg, Ky., to the late Herbert and Mae Hamblin Large. Kenny was a retired MSHA federal mine inspector and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Cumberland College. Kenny served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Regina Carolyn Large, and one brother, William “Sonny” Large.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two daughters, Kimberly (Paul) Ashburn and Kendra Young (Patrick Patterson), both of Beaver Dam; one granddaughter, Kenedi Raelyn Ashburn; three sisters, Peggy (Fred) Davis, of Beaver Dam, Wanda Still, of Monroe, Ohio, and Sue Howard of Jacksboro, Tenn.; five nieces, Debbie Goodall, Karen Ramsey, Donna Skipper, Stephanie Barrett and Sheri Risinger; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Dr. Mark Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, with full military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard.
