BOWLING GREEN — Leo Thomas Garrett, of Bowling Green, lost his longtime battle with multiple sclerosis, under the care of Hospice of Southern Kentucky on Dec. 15, 2022. Leo was born Feb. 10, 1957, in Livingston, Tenn., to the late L.D. Tyson Garrett and the late Oma Bartlett Barrett. Leo was retired from the United States Air Force, in which he served his country proudly. He was a die hard Detroit Lions and Kentucky Wildcat fan.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Samantha Jean; a brother, Ralph Garrett; and sisters, Ella Garrett and Bernice Johnson.
Leo is survived by his daughters, Jennifer, Brandy, Whisky Lee and J.D. Garrett, two grandsons, Jackson and Noah, all of Bowling Green; his brothers, Tyson (Lisa) Garrett, Robert (Susan) Garrett and Jerry Glenn Garrett; his sisters, Dolly Rimbey, Patty (Richard) Young, Emma Parker, Janice McDaniel and Tammy Haight; 26 nieces and nephews, several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held in the spring for family and friends at Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
