Roland “Miles” Stewart passed away, Monday, May 24, 2021.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Sackman) Stewart; loving father of Emily (Brian) Winham, Sean (Kim) Stewart and Joshua (Jennifer) Stewart; proud grandfather of Jacob, Daniel, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Alexandria, Kallista, Liam, Elara, James, David and William; dear brother of Debbie (Steven) Everly, Lee Annette Taylor and Lance Stewart; dearest brother-in-law of Randy (Dee Dee) Sackman, Karen (Robert) Kirk and Sharon Stewart; dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.
Miles was preceded in death by his parents, David and Pat (nee Leach) Stewart; brother, Richard Stewart; brothers-in-law, Millard Taylor and Chris Sackman.
If you knew Miles, you know there isn’t a person he wouldn’t strike up a conversation. The topic of conversation could be the latest about his Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, a hit by hit description of the 17th hole, or the stops he took to make the table your drink was resting on. He loved getting kisses and hugs from his grandkids, children and loving wife. You’d have seen him with a crossword puzzle in his hand or the daily sudoku from the Post Dispatch. He was quick with a smile, and happy to tell you a joke. His family will miss him dearly, and there is a big hole that can never be filled.
The family will receive friends at Salem United Methodist Church in Ballwin, Mo., on Wednesday, May 26, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. The wearing of masks is strongly encouraged. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
