HARTFORD — Thomas “Tom” Lee Hardin, 77, of Hartford, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on March 30, 1943, in McHenry to the late Earl Ray and Corine McDaniel Hardin. Tom was a member of McHenry Baptist Church, Cromwell Fire Department and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He was retired from McHenry Brass, where he worked for 35 years.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Durwood Glen Hardin; brother, Ray Hardin; and his first wife, Sandria Shown Hardin.
He leaves behind to cherish many memories, his wife of 13 years, Sharon James Hardin, of Hartford; four children, Suzanne Strong, of Jackson, Miss., Thomas A. (Beverly) Hardin, of Hartford, Dana Hardin Rowland, of Beaver Dam, and Derek (Jessica) Hardin, of Borden, Ind.; one brother, Lennie Carol (Debbie) Hardin, of Hartford; 11 grandchildren, Cecil Whitler Jr., Sandra Letizia, Ashley Hardin, Amanda Barrow, Jeffrey Jones Jr., Hayley Hardin, Elizabeth Hardin, Faith-Ann Moseley, Finnley Rowland, Mason Hardin and Malia Hardin; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Brother Scott Fleener officiating. Burial will follow in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Friends may visit with the
